Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a flexible attitude to carry out inspection and testing of Lifting Equipment on customer sites.  Join our team as a Lifting Equipment inspector and play a crucial part in maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of various types of lifting equipment including cranes, hoists, and rigging in accordance with LOLER & PUWER
• Identify and document equipment defects, malfunctions and safety concerns
• Provide recommendations for repairs, replacements or maintenance activities based on inspection findings
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports for compliance purposes
• Collaborate to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
• Service, Repair & Inspect Lifting Equipment on customer sites & the companies workshop
• Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures
• Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations to ensure accurate and effective inspections

Experience:

• Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams plus various other forms for Lifting & Handling Equipment
• LEEA Qualifications, or time served in relevant industry
• Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment
• A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering required
• Good understanding of method statement and risk assessments
• Full Driving Licence
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
